What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a mobile plan without a physical SIM card. It’s built into your phone and works just like a regular SIM.

Is Your Device eSIM-Compatible?

Before getting started, check that your phone supportseSIM. 
Most newer smartphones support eSIM.
To check if your device iscompatible, simply dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appearson screen, your device supports eSIM.

How do I activate my Ice Wireless eSIM?

Simply scan the QR code provided in your welcome email or on your account dashboard. Your phone will guide you through downloading and activating your Ice Wireless eSIM profile.

What devices are compatible with eSIM?

Most newer smartphones support eSIM. To check if your device is compatible, simply dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears on screen, your device supports eSIM.
Popular eSIM-compatible devices include:
• iPhone XR and newer
• Google Pixel 3 and newer
• Samsung Galaxy S20 series and newer

I scanned the QR code, but nothing happened. What should I do?

Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi and that your phone supports eSIM. If the problem continues, restart your phone and try again. If issues persist, contact our support team at support@icewireless.ca.

Can I use eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?

Yes! Most dual-SIM devices allow you to use both an eSIM and a physical SIM simultaneously, perfect for separating personal and work numbers or using Ice Wireless when traveling to our network coverage areas.

What happens if I delete my eSIM profile?

Deleting your eSIM profile will deactivate your Ice Wireless service on that device. If this happens, contact us and we’ll resend your activation QR code.

I scanned the QR code, but nothing happened. What should I do?

Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi and that your phone supports eSIM. If the problem continues, restart your phone and try again. If issues persist, contact our support team at support@icewireless.ca.

Can I transfer my eSIM to a new device?

eSIMs are device-specific and cannot be transferred automatically. Contact Ice Wireless support to request a new QR code for your new device.

Is there a charge to activate an eSIM?

No. Ice Wireless eSIM activation is free with your plan.
