What is an APN?

An APN (Access Point Name) allows your phone to connect to the Ice Wireless mobile network for services like mobile data and picture messaging (MMS).

Do I need to set up an APN on my phone?

In most cases, APN settings are added automatically. However, if your mobile data or MMS is not working, you may need to enter the APN settings manually.

What are the Internet APN settings for Ice Wireless?

Use the following settings for mobile data:
APN: net.icew.ca
APN Type: default

How do I save and activate the Internet APN?

Enter the APN details exactly as shown.
Save the APN.
Select or activate the newly created APN.
Restart your phone if data does not connect right away.

What are the MMS settings for Ice Wireless?

Use the following settings for MMS:
APN: mms net.icew.ca
MMSC: http://mmsc.icew.ca
APN Type: mms

Do I need both APNs?

Yes.
The Internet APN is required for web browsing and apps.
The MMS APN is required for sending and receiving picture messages and group texts.

Should I change any other APN fields?

No. Leave all other fields (username, password, proxy, port, etc.) blank or set to default unless otherwise instructed.

What if my data or MMS still doesn’t work?

Try the following:
Double-check that the APN names and values are entered exactly as shown
Make sure the Internet APN is selected as active
Restart your device
Ensure mobile data is turned on
